Namaste !

We wanted to share with you a game we like playing, it’s called The Hawk.

Here are the rules :

Someone has to be the hawk and all others are little birds.

The little birds have to run from a point to another escaping from the hawk, which has to catch as much little birds as it can. When little birds are caught by the hawk, they become hawks and have to catch the other little birds.

The last little bird wins the game.  (Hari Krishna)

Do you play sports alot at school ? We don’t have sports class, but we love playing. (Jaya)

Daily Routine on a typical Thursday

•December 3, 2010 • 2 Comments

On Thursday mornings, we usually get up at 6.30 AM, and we have breakfast. We get dressed and we make up (we are girls!). We get our bags ready, and we go and take the bus at 7.25 AM. It is a 20-30 minute ride. We arrive at school at 7.55 AM.

First, we have a 2 hour sport period. Then, we have a 15min break. After the break, we have 1 French lesson, And 1 Mathematics lesson. Then, we have a 1 hour lunch break for eating. We have lunch in the school restaurant. Here is a typical menu :

  • A starter

  • A main course

  • A dessert

We can choose between 2 or 3 possibilities…

What about you in Nepal ? Do you have lunch at school ? Do you have a school canteen ? Do you have snacks or sandwiches ? What is your typical menu ?

And between our lessons, we have 5 minutes to change classrooms. In our college, we have about 25 rooms.

In the afternoon, we have 1 English lesson, 1 History lesson, and we finish with Physics, so we have three periods the afternoon. Do you have physics lessons. Between History and Physics, we have a break of 15min.

We have seven periods a day, except on Wednesdays : we only have four periods in the morning.

After the lessons, we go and take the bus. We arrive at home at 05:25 PM. We have a snack, we do our homework, and then, we can go and watch the television.

Then, we go and take a shower and we dry our hair.

We eat with our families. And we go to bed at 11:00 PM.

This is a typical school day. We don’t go to school at the weekend – on Saturdays and Sundays, we are free.

How many periods have you got a day ?

Here is a classmate dressed as a judoka. His name is Sylvain. Judo is a fight, a martial art. The object is to throw, hold to the ground, or otherwise force an opponent to submit, using the minimum of physical effort. Its technique basically uses the force and weight of the opponent against it.

Here is Sylvain in a kayak. This is a sport we practise on canals or rivers… and when we have a race, we try to finish first.

Hi, my name is Maxime!
